Remarkable shelter, company owner, and customer service!!

Mark has a truly remarkable product in the Basecamp Shelter. I have been fortunate enough to test several other hub, canvas, and rooftop tents. None come close to the craftsmanship, thoughtful design, and ease of use that Overlandish has somehow blended into the Basecamp. So much so that I am already saving money for the Solo as I often camp without the family. Add to all of this that Mark is a genuinely nice guy who wants nothing more than for his customers to be "stoked" and you have a winning combination. Don't hesitate to give it a try.

Amazing product

I was surprised how easy the setup was, there's a slight slope in my yard so it was a bit difficult to get the zippers moving, which I would expect since it's not exactly level, at all. Generally not an ideal place to setup a tent but it's the only place in my backyard.

The tent is definitely roomy. I like the main window, that's pretty nice. The doors are strong. My wife can attest to that, she was carrying something into the tent and tripped on the opening, tent didn't budge at all, she did, though, luckily she was carrying a bean bag chair and just landed on that.

Looking forward to taking the tent out in a few weeks. I wanted to test it in the rain. The first day it was setup in our backyard it actually poured and soaked the inside of the tent significantly, but I hadn't put the rainfly on, which was pretty dumb on my part, however, I wasn't expecting rain. I eventually setup the rainfly, which was super easy and it never rained again for over a week, that part is still untested but I'm betting it's fine. Definitely need the rainfly, or if you have a big tarp to tie over it I'm sure that will do.

Tear down was pretty easy, as was packing it up.

The reinforced bag is excellent, I need to get the tent a bit tighter with the straps to get it in there, outside of that it's excellent. Pretty heavy, as expected.

I have a 77 Landrover Series3, 88". The tent takes up the entire back. I'll figure out a way to get it on the roof rack, that will be a challenge for sure.

Highly recommended.

FANTASTIC

First, the customer service is truly EXCELLENT!!!! Second, I purchased the "works" meaning I got the entire weather package. Everything arrived in perfect condition and so well protected in the shipping packaging I was like a little kid at Christmas trying to get my present open as fast as I could.

When I was finally able to unbox everything, I was extremely impressed by the quality and craftsmanship.

Unfortunately due to health issues I haven't been able to test it out on a camping trip yet. So, I did the next best thing. I set it up in my backyard and used it there for a few days. Overlandish Basecamp first impression

Got to deploy the tent and had it out for 5 days. With weather package, the tent did extremely well under high winds and heavy rain. Water did come in around floor zipper, but now I know what to do to prevent it from happening again. Ventilation was plentiful, very roomy, looks great, well constructed, very strong. Looking forward to taking it out again. By the way… the straps are a must. It makes putting tent back in bag a lot easier.
